Photos of Croatia including islands and cities along the Adriatic (Pula, Split, Opatija, Zlarin, Krk) and Zagreb.

photocroatia.com was conceived in 2003 after I returned from a trip to Croatia.

I wanted to promote Croatia to the world, as it’s a stunning Country, back then not too many people knew about Croatia and they certainly didn’t know what attractions Croatia had to show.

What better way to show the attraction than through photos and photography, as the saying goes – “A picture is worth a thousand words”

Thousands of hours were spent building the website and the content, hundreds of photographers contributed to the site.

photocroatia.com still has the largest collection of photos of Croatia in the World – Almost 26,000 Photos. First Page Google results for most related searches “photos Croatia”, “pictures Croatia”. Location photos for example “Zagreb photos” “split photos” etc

In the last 12-18 months I have spent very little time on the website, time has come to revitalize it, unfortunately I don’t have the energy or motivation anymore, time has come for a new lease of life and a new owner

Croatia pictures. Croatia, mostly stretching along the coast of the Adriatic, owes much of its beauty to the sea: from several hundred year old seaside towns to the untouched nature of barely inhabited islands, the coast of the Adriatic offers a varied and wonderful landscape. In the pictures below you can find the faces of Krk Island, Pula, Rijeka, Rovinj, Opatija, Split and Zlarin island, with the only non-maritime exception being Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
